The lavera Natural Beauty brand has received two product nominations. Laverana GmbH & Co. KG, a specialist in certified natural cosmetics, is a finalist in the German Sustainability Award (DNP) 2026. This places the company among the TOP 3 most sustainable companies in the personal care sector in Germany.
What is particularly remarkable is that lavera Natural Beauty has also been nominated for two product innovations in the categories “New natural cosmetics / NATURE” and “New natural cosmetics / resources”. Once again, the renowned expert jury is recognising Laverana’s pioneering role in shaping the future of the cosmetics industry through sustainable transformation.
Two lavera product solutions nominated
“We are delighted that our commitment to sustainability and innovation is being recognised both as a company and through our products,” says Sabine Kästner, company spokesperson and sustainability officer at Laverana. “Sustainability has been firmly embedded in our brand DNA since our foundation. Our holistic solutions and sustainable investments are a lived reality and shape our daily actions. We consistently uphold this commitment – from the development to the production of our products. For us, nature is the best foundation for modern, effective cosmetics. That is why we deliberately combine nature, science and technology to create innovative natural cosmetics that unite maximum efficacy and sustainability.”
- New natural cosmetics / NATURE: The newly developed lavera Baby & Kinder care range has been recognised for its particularly gentle and moisturising care formula. The innovative water-in-oil emulsion with a mild emulsifier based on glycerine, sorbitol and linseed oil protects and soothes sensitive baby skin – with no compromises when it comes to skin tolerance.
- New natural cosmetics / resources: The lavera lip balm sets new standards with innovative packaging. The packaging for the Hauchzart, Repair and basis sensitiv ranges is made entirely from mono-PP, enabling high-quality, single-material recycling. Virgin plastic has been completely eliminated from the packaging – an important step towards reducing resource consumption and plastic waste.
DNP 2026 jury statement – Companies: “The eco-pioneer Laverana harnesses the efficacy of nature, pays attention to the highest (organic) quality and, wherever possible, local sourcing. The company uses 100% green electricity, 20% of which is generated in-house, and consistently uses recycled materials for its packaging. Sustainability targets define the reduction of resource consumption in the company and in its products, while projects support research, environmental education and nature conservation.”

About the German Sustainability Award
The German Sustainability Award recognises outstanding achievements in business, local authorities and research. The award is presented by the German Sustainability Award Foundation e. V.
At the 16th German Sustainability Award, pioneering companies were recognised for the first time in 100 sectors of the German economy, including companies from the cosmetics sector. An AI-supported analysis by score4more, based on publicly available company data, formed the basis of the competition. Industry juries then selected the respective pioneers on the basis of company profiles, scores and personal experience.
