Hanover, 15.09.2021 - Sustainability is one of the core pillars of our company philosophy as a certified Natural Beauty manufacturer. With innovative products, high ecological standards, and special commitment, we are among the pioneers in the industry. Therefore, we are pleased to have advanced to the next round after our nomination for Europe's largest and most important sustainability award.

Laverana GmbH & Co. KG, the company behind the brand lavera Natural Beauty, was able to convince the jury of the German Sustainability Award 2022: As one of seven finalists in the "Companies - Biodiversity" competition, Laverana is already among the most sustainable companies and one of the top seven in this transformation field.

In the individual competitions of the transformation fields Climate, Resources, Society, Biodiversity, or Supply Chain, seven retailers were each honored, including Laverana GmbH & Co. KG in the area of Biodiversity. The close top group consists of German companies that set exemplary standards with particularly effective contributions to sustainable change, innovative strength, role model function, and ambitious goals. Sustainable development is an important guiding principle of their economic actions for the finalists. 

Stefan Schulze-Hausmann, initiator of the German Sustainability Award, praises the special commitment of the finalists: "[...] Our finalists drive the transformation and contribute to its implementation with high ecological standards in production and special social commitment in the supply chain.[...] A look at the finalists shows how strong their impact as a driver for change can be." 

Now it’s time to keep your fingers crossed! On December 3, 2021, the winners among the total of 35 finalists will be announced at a gala event.
